Darren started his career in insurance as an underwriter at Municipal Mutual (now Zurich Municipal) in 1987, later working in Manchester with Gan Minster (now Groupama). After qualification as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1994 he commenced his broking career. In 1999 he moved to Coulter Hurst & Co and in 2002 he was appointed Commercial Director of the company. He has been a Chartered Insurance Broker since 2001 and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Darren likes to spend his free time with his family. His interests include music (he is an accomplished pianist) going to the gym and after a 20 year sabbatical, playing golf again...he also supports Man United (he would have to be different!).
