Charles Hurst
Managing Director
Charlie started the Company in 1999 and is grateful that he's always had great colleagues supporting him ever since! Having started in 1981 with a large international brokerage, Alexander Howden (now Aon), he qualified with Eagle Star (now Zurich) before spending 10 years at Mason Owen Financial Services immediately prior to setting up Coulter Hurst & Co.
He specialises in Commercial Insurance, particularly Property related, and is committed to providing a first class quality service to the clients and insurers alike. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is also a Chartered Insurance Broker.
He was elected President of the Insurance Institute of Liverpool for the 2007/2008 term.
Outside work, Charlie is involved with Liverpool's Lord's Taveners, being a former Chairman, a charity assisting young and often disabled children.
He likes to play golf being a member of Royal Liverpool, and thinks he was a useful amateur footballer (Liverpool Ramblers AFC) and cricketer (Neston CC)! He also likes to swim these days and keep fit by walking the family spaniel, Toby!
Charlie is married to a nurse, Helen, (handy with his sporting injuries!) and they have a daughter, Caroline, and a son, Tim.
He is also a keen Evertonian!
